Silver: just for weddings?

As I was trying to decide which silver to use on the background of another card, I just happened to lay these silvers together. Wow! The photo does not quite do it justice, but they look wonderful together! Then I looked in my vellum drawer for a piece of silver embossed vellum, and found the leaf. I started looking for the right text to add, when it occurred to me that the silvers make the card seem more appropriate for a wedding card. Is that the first thing that would pop into your mind when looking at this card? I realize that there are no "rules" about what colors for what occasion, but just as a green and red card has me thinking Christmas, I'm wondering if silver will make people wonder why it doesn't have a wedding theme? Opinions welcomed! I haven't attached anything yet.

Edit: Thanks to all of you who commented here and on Gingerwood. Diane gave me the idea that I went with. I used Psalm 1:1, and abridged it for the card. Although the silver embossed leaf from Eureka was just what I grabbed from my vellum drawer, I really loved how it looked on the silver cardstock, so was delighted to get the great idea! Excuse the flash on the card; any pic I took with the flash off to the side made the text unreadable (as did no flash, etc). The text is printed on silver vellum, which has a really lovely, but subtle sparkle, so that also made photgraphing difficult! Maybe Monday I'll rephotograph in the daylight...

It's beautiful Sarah. It would certainly work for a wedding card, but I see it as a beautiful card of encouragement. The minute I saw it I thought of Ps 1:3
"He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither." Kind of a watery look.

It's so serene too...I can see some verse about peace, trusting. It just has a beautiful, peaceful look to it. Love it!

Oh, Diane, thank you! That is absolutely perfect! I am not sure offhand if I have that scripture in a stamp or not, but I can always computer generate it. Thank you!!

It really is beautiful, and I actually think it would also work for a sympathy card. Simply stamp the sentiment in black or dark gray ink, and it's all done.

Ooooh! It's gorgeous! I just love this card. The scripture turned out beautifully. Love that font! Just perfect! The wonderful thing about using scripture on a card is that not only does the recipient have a lovely creation from you, but that are blessed by the voice of God. WOW! You did good!

OK, me one more time, then I'll quit bothering. I double-clicked on the photo to enlarge. WOW, you can really see all the textures and sparkles a bunch! Even more beautiful!

Diane is right! It is especially beautiful enlarged! Its like staring into a stream when the sunlight is shining directly into it. Very beautiful card. Great choice for the verse too.
